TITLE: Technology Project Manager
LOCATION: Fully Remote in the United States
SALARY: $110,000 - $140,000 (Based on NYC, will be adjusted for geo)
The Role:
We are searching for a seasoned Project Manager who thrives on managing software development projects. Join our dynamic team and lead our development teams with passion and expertise. What You’ll Do:

Process Advocate:
- Promote Canoe Engineering principles and values (e.g., empirical process control, self-organization, collaboration, value-based prioritization, time-boxing, iterative development) within the development process.
- Coach and mentor teams on Canoe Engineering frameworks, roles, and ceremonies.
- Facilitate effective planning meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide the team in utilizing agile practices like user stories, estimation, and continuous integration.

Process Optimization:
- Continuously assess and improve processes, identifying and removing impediments to team effectiveness.
- Introduce and refine metrics to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Promote a culture of experimentation and learning through retrospectives and feedback loops.
- Analyze project complexity and tailor approaches accordingly.
- Guide the team in applying appropriate responses to different contexts.

Collaboration & Communication:
- Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel empowered and supported.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on project and sprint goals and progress.
- Build strong relationships with product owners, developers, and other team members.
What We’re Looking For:
- Project Management Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment, preferably within the FinTech or Alt Finance industry.
- Agile Knowledge: Deep understanding and practical experience with various Agile frameworks and scaling approaches.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to assess project complexity and guide decision-making.
- Facilitation & Coaching: Excellent facilitation and coaching skills with a passion for mentoring teams on best practices.
- Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
- Agile and/or PMP certifications.
- Experience with specific Alt Finance products/services.
